Graphviz Tutorial
Learn the DOT language step by step and start drawing graphs by hand.
Graphviz turns a short text description — the DOT language — into a rendered graph: flowcharts, dependency trees, state machines, architecture diagrams. Once you know a handful of DOT keywords, hand-writing a diagram is often faster than dragging shapes around a canvas.
This tutorial covers nodes, edges, and their attributes (shape, color, labels) with a small exercise at each step. You write the DOT snippet and we check the rendered graph against the expected result.
What you'll practice (7 steps)

- Two nodes
- Node Attributes
- Edges
- Edge Attributes
- Nodes and Edges wrap up
- Subgraphs & clusters
